Information for Staff & Advisors
Get to Know Our Office
Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange is the campus study abroad office. Our portfolio includes: exchange programs, direct enroll programs, providers programs, customized short-term programs, and signature programs. Our staff is a group of dedicated and knowledgeable education abroad professionals whose own international experience has impacted our careers.
Students who need assistance in the study abroad process are encouraged to come to our Advising and Resource Center (112 International Studies Building) during walk-in hours and speak with a Program Assistant. Program Assistants are current students who have studied abroad on one or more study abroad programs at Illinois and are trained to advise on basic topics. Students who have spoken to a Program Assistant or attended a First Steps Workshop can then make an appointment with one of our Education Abroad Coordinators, who are full-time staff members with regional portfolios. Direct students to our Calendar for walk-in advising hours and to the Advising page to schedule an appointment.
